  • Beautiful natural surroundings with good walking paths and forested areas for nature lovers.
  • A quaint village with essential amenities including restaurants, grocery store, and ski shops.

Worth knowing

  • Dining and shopping options are limited, so cooking at the rental can be a better choice for some guests.

About this property

Welcome to Whistler Creekside

Whistler Creekside is a ski resort situated in a quieter area of Whistler, offering a more peaceful alternative to the bustling main village. Located at 2499 Nordic Dr, it provides convenient access to skiing with the Vail Resorts Gondola base just steps away, allowing guests to quickly reach mid-mountain terrain. The resort area includes a small village featuring essential amenities such as restaurants, a grocery marketplace, ski rental shops, and a few cafes, supporting a practical and relaxed stay.

The resort caters well to families and beginners, with good facilities for kids and a ski school aimed primarily at novice skiers. While more experienced skiers might prefer lessons at other nearby ski schools, the gentle slopes and on-site amenities make Whistler Creekside suitable for those new to the sport or traveling with children. Guests appreciate the availability of covered parking and easy mountain access, which simplifies arrival and departure logistics.

Amenities include an on-site restaurant, accessible facilities such as wheelchair-accessible entrance and car park, and multiple payment options including credit cards and mobile payments. Planning ahead is recommended, especially regarding ski lift tickets, which must now be purchased online in advance. The village atmosphere is described as quaint and well-organized, with a mix of local businesses and services supporting the area’s charm and convenience.

Visitors looking for a quieter base while still close to mountain activities will find Whistler Creekside appealing. The setting offers beautiful natural surroundings with walking paths and forested areas contributing to its tranquil environment. While dining and shopping options are more limited compared to Whistler Village, those staying here often appreciate the larger accommodations and grocery selections available for self-catering. Overall, the resort suits travelers seeking a balanced combination of accessibility, nature, and a laid-back ski holiday experience.

Creekside is a very nice area and much quieter than the main Whistler village, which feels like a traditional high traffic shopping & dining area. We liked staying in this area at Taluswood (2 families with 4 kids) and really enjoyed it given very easy access to the mountain and free parking in a covered 2 level garage right below the gondola. Super convenient and fast access to the mountain - you just walk up to the gondola and ride up to a mid base. The village itself is really small and generally quiets down when lifts close, but it has a few restaurants, a ski equipment store and coffee shop. The ski school here is the smallest of the 3 between (Whister, Blackcomb and Creekside) and only has a little magic carpet and some very short runs. I think it works fine for very novice beginners but if you've taken classes before, would try Whistler or Blackcomb ski school instead.

Whistler Creekside has a flair all of its own. The WC village has the Vail Resorts Gondola base, Dusty's Bar & Grill, the marketplace grocery, a LCB Beer & Spirits store, the Can-ski Sports store, a Starbucks, Attitude Fitness centre, a Bakery and a few other small businesses to complement the area. It is well designed, developed and articulated as a quaint little spot with ample parking for the stores apart from the 3 levels of covered parking for the resort. It is flanked by Evolution, Legends and First Tracks Guest Lodges along with the Whistler Mountain Ski Club along with another ski rental shop and Tim Hortons restaurant.

I was blown away by the beautiful nature at Whistler Ski Resort, and I had so much fun snowboarding on the variety of slopes for all levels. That said, I’d recommend total beginners get the beginner slope pass. I went with two beginners, and even the easiest run took them over an hour to get down… tough day!

Come to the better deal of Whistler. Hotels are cheaper but rooms larger, the grocery store has more choices. There is not a ton of shopping activities or dining options, but if you're going to cook dinner at your rental, this is better anyways. New policy for ski lifts, you always need to buy online at least one day ahead. It is no longer possible to get a free or discount end of season lift with next year's pass.

Lived here for a couple weeks. In love with whiStler, so quiet, envolving with nature, walking in the forest, listening to the birds sing, taking care of the bears, enjoying life.
